Thank you very much for all the work you, Ollie and Dean did in my garden. I highly recommend Yorkshire Timber Decking for a first class service, starting from the visit to discuss what was needed, through the actual work and for speedy response to the one small snag that arose after the work had finished.

The pricing was excellent and the work was done efficiently even taking into account a few design changes that were needed as the week progressed. All staff were polite, capable, prompt and cheerful. The garden went from being a rubbish tip with poor access and no security at the bottom to 2 large useable areas of decking, a large lawn and some tall fencing at the bottom.

The back yard being cleared down to a single level and then gravelled is working out beautifully and the dogs are real fans of the water feature, particularly on hot days! I really like my new gate to the yard, having it split like a stable door is coming in handy in lots of ways.

Me and the dogs very much appreciate being able to easily get into the lower garden via the new decking which is a major improvement on the dodgy metal steps! The different levels of deck are working out really well and the storage space underneath is coming in very useful for storage of plant pots and such.

Altogether I am delighted with the change to my garden, the work done by your company and the additional work done by Jon Wood, the electrician, to improve the lighting and fit an external socket. It's great, thank you so much.

Now that I have finally emerged from the winter and ventured into the garden, I have remembered I should have written you a letter thanking you for the work you did.

We were delighted with everything. The pond area is transformed and the trellis structure looks great - it really frames the garden. There are quite a lot of things planted beneath it which I hope will grow up and over. The patch of the grass at the front looks lovely and the rose bushes I bought look very healthy. All in all, you and the boys, Gavin and Olly, did a great job at a good price and we have been recommending you to other people.

On that note I wonder if you would be interested in looking at my daughter, Jessica's, garden? Richard and the team was spot on with everything. He listened to us on the design ideas, understood why we wanted to change the garden and how we wanted to be able to use it and then developed a design that ticked all the boxes. He kept to budget, the workmanship is excellent, the flexibility and communication was spot on and they completed the task in appalling weather and a short timescale. What impressed us most however was their enthusiasm for the project and their work and it shone through in the care and pride they had in the finished garden. It's only been a few short weeks since we changed the garden and we have already used it more than ever before. Everyone is taken aback with the garden, friends and family are stunned, the kids love it and I now have my Sunday morning paper haven that I have yearned for.

Finally, we have a garden we can use! It is fantastic to be able to walk out of the french doors on to something, rather than the 6 foot drop that was there before! The decking is going to make a huge difference to how we use the garden, the girls already see it as an extension of their play room and want to be out there all the time, despite the weather! It's lovely for them to be able to play outside safely and it's all thanks to Richard & Ollie. The whole job was amazingly quick and hassle free. The garden was so overgrown with nettles and weeds that just to go down the steps in the rockery required the agility of a mountain goat. The lawn if you could call it that was covered in Dandelions and moss, having just retired from work the last thing I wanted to do was to set about transforming the garden so I asked Richard and his team to do it. Over two weeks my back garden became a beautiful place. I had a small pond and waterfall built with the old stones from the rockery a circular indian stone patio and new turf the surrounding area was then covered with a membrane and pebbles. When my neighbour came round for coffee she was amazed and asked if Groundforce had been. Ollie and Gavin were lovely, polite and nothing was too much trouble even when I changed my mind (as women tend to do) I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Richard to anyone infact if I have the front garden done in the future then I shall give him a call.

Hope this is ok I've just got another job working at Costco, it looks like I'll be working longer than when I was in full time work.

The landscaping of the patio, pond and garden has transformed the back of our house and we now have a lovely place to look at and spend time in. Richard and his team did a great job. We first commissioned Richard's services three years ago and have used the company twice since then. We have been consistently delighted with the quality of their work. From design to build, Richard and his colleagues have produced work of an exceptionally high standard. Richard is really helpful, responding to ideas with suggestions and enthusiasm and implementing plans with creativity and flair.

We've had three phases:

Phase 1 was raised decking with a balcony and steps - it looks fantastic and we absolutely love it - it has provided us with an outdoor room for entertaining - perfect for barbecues in summer and decked with Christmas lights for mulled wine in winter . The balcony overlooks our garden andmakes the most of views over the city that we've never been able to enjoy before. Ideal for breakfasting in the sun at the weekend or relaxing with a glass of wine after work!

Phase 2 involved the construction of a semi circle patio made of Indian stone and the erection of trellis to screen the bottom of the garden - we were really pleased with the way it enabled us to enhance the planting scheme and it's added a new perspective to the garden.

Phase 3 has involved the creation of a U shaped bed - constructed with sleepers - for growing our own veg plus some hard standing for a greenhouse, cold frame and shed, it looks really good and it's also practical and functional.

Phase 4 - a water feature and lghts for the decking - to be completed shortly. Richard took a photo of a water feature design I'd had my eye on for ages and used one of his contacts to create the copper chutes which will be attached to a sleeper and form a fountain.

Each time Richard's team has cleared and tidied the site and left it in an immaculate condition and they've always been pleasant and polite, arriving when they say they will and completing the work exactly as requested.

I would not hesitate to recommend Richard's services, we've been delighted with all the work they've done. That's why I've been prepared to write this testimonial!

Richard and his crew completed the modest alterations to my garden in 36 hrs. Since moving into my house at Alexandra Gardens I have wanted to have the garden professionally landscaped, it is quite a difficult space and as with many 'new builds' quite a limited one.

I had been particularly impressed with my next door neighbour's garden which was originally designed and laid by Yorkshire Timber Decking Company over five years ago. One of the most impressive attributes of this garden is that years on it still looks excellent, which I believe is testament to the quality of materials and build originally carried out.

My neighbours supplied me with the companies' details and I met soon after with the owner Richard Charles. During our initial meeting we discussed various options for the design of the garden. It became very apparent that Richard had a breadth of knowledge and experience which helped me formulate my own ideas along with his.

Several informal meetings followed to discuss the various options, materials, costs etc. (Richard always made time to discuss things through and was willing to adapt original ideas in light of new ones). We eventually agreed on a design, budget and a time slot to begin work. I was also given an estimated time to the completion of the work.

The job began on time; two of Richards's staff joined him (Damien and Ollie) both were as professional as Richard in their approach and it quickly became apparent that they really took pride in what they did. As the project progressed and the original plan become reality I was able to further discuss ideas and make appropriate changes. Nothing ever appearing to be a problem, the comment usually 'This is your garden and you need to be happy with it'

Friends who visited the house could not believe the speed the transformation took place. The project was completed on time and to budget. Some of my friends have already asked the Yorkshire Timber Decking Company to come up with ideas and costs to carry out their own garden transformations. I am more than happy to recommend Richard and his team to them.
